Flea Market

Phila Flea Markets, also known as The Philly Flea, began in 1985 when a small group of residents in the Logan Circle neighborhood of Philadelphia, near 23rd & Race Streets, planned a sidewalk sale in front of their homes. Wanting to elevate the idea into a full-fledged neighborhood flea market, I took the initiative to spread the word. With the help of my data processor, I created flyers and distributed them around the neighborhood, gathering a few participants. At the time, flea markets were listed in newspapers alongside movie showtimes, so I also promoted the event at other established markets, gradually attracting more vendors.
