Scraplanta Creative Reuse is a 501(c)(3) environmental arts nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting sustainability and accessibility in the arts within the Metro Atlanta area. Operating as an art supply thrift store, Scraplanta offers a wide range of pre-loved materials—including fabric, paint, paper, and classroom supplies—at 25-50% of typical retail prices, making creative endeavors more affordable for artists, teachers, and students. In addition to providing materials, Scraplanta hosts sliding-scale craft workshops led by local artists, fostering skill development and community engagement.
With two locations, Scraplanta ensures accessibility across the region. The Tucker store, situated in the Briarcliff Village Shopping Plaza at 2130 Henderson Mill Rd, operates Thursday through Monday from 10 AM to 6 PM. The "Scraplet" branch, located inside CreateATL at 900 Murphy Ave SW in Adair Park, welcomes visitors Friday through Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. Both centers accept material donations, diverting usable art supplies from landfills and reintegrating them into the creative community. Through its efforts, Scraplanta not only provides affordable resources but also cultivates an inclusive space where creativity and environmental consciousness intersect.
