SnoMo

SnoMo is a Taiwanese-inspired dessert brand that introduced the innovative "Sno Ice" to Austin in 2014. Founded by Taiwanese UT alumni Ming Chen and John Sun, the concept emerged from their desire to recreate the refreshing summer treat they cherished back home. Unlike traditional snow cones, Sno Ice is a hybrid between shaved ice and ice cream—fluffy like snow and creamy like ice cream. The ice is made from flavored blocks of milk, soy milk, or water, shaved into delicate ribbons and topped with a variety of fresh fruits, boba pearls, jellies, and syrups. This unique dessert has garnered recognition, including being ranked among CNN's "World's Top 50 Best Desserts."

SnoMo operates multiple locations across Austin, including Lamar Blvd, Lake Creek, and Lakeway, with a seasonal presence near Zilker Park's sand volleyball courts through September 2025. In addition to their signature Sno Ice, SnoMo offers a diverse menu featuring bubble tea, smoothies, sweet rice, and waffles. Their commitment to quality and innovation has made them a staple in Austin's dessert scene. They also provide catering services for various events, having previously participated in notable Austin festivals such as the Austin Ice Cream Festival, Austin Night Market, and Far East Eats.
