Squasht Boutique is a vibrant, woman-owned clothing and accessories shop located in Chicago’s Ukrainian Village. Founded by designer Lesley Timpe in 2004, the boutique opened its storefront at 2556 W. Chicago Ave in 2010. Timpe, trained at Maestro Mateo Design School in Spain, brings a subtly sophisticated European vibe to her clothing and hat collections. Each season, Squasht releases its own line of ready-to-wear garments and signature reversible hats, all designed and produced in Chicago. The boutique has earned accolades such as being named one of the top 10 best boutiques in Chicago by Culture Trip and voted Best Local Clothing Designer by the Chicago Reader.
