Nellita's Craft

Nellita's Craft, located at 248 East 1st Street in Los Angeles' Little Tokyo, is a community-centered craft shop and makerspace dedicated to fostering creativity among beginners and seasoned artisans alike. Established by owner Rosalyn Kawahira in April 2024, the shop offers a bright, inviting space focused on fiber and embroidery arts, including sashiko, jizashi, cross-stitch, punch needle, felting, crochet, and knitting. In addition to providing a wide range of craft supplies and art-making kits, Nellita's Craft supports independent artists by featuring their stickers, greeting cards, and other creative items, thereby enriching the local artistic community.

Beyond retail offerings, Nellita's Craft emphasizes hands-on learning and collaboration through beginner-friendly workshops and craft groups. The makerspace is equipped with professional crafting machines available for hourly rental, catering to various projects from embroidery to screen printing and paper crafts. With operating hours from Tuesday to Thursday, 11 AM to 6 PM, and Friday to Sunday, 12 PM to 7 PM, the shop invites individuals to explore new crafts and engage with fellow enthusiasts in a supportive environment.
